Pac-12 Soccer: Athlon Sports QB Rankings

The Pac-12 conference looks very different than it did a year ago. Indeed, Utah, UCLA and Oregon are all expected to do well in 2022. However, hopefully the USC Trojans could be conference champions from his four-win team.

The bottom of the conference hasn’t changed much, with the Colorado Buffaloes unfortunately being voted bottom by Pac-12 Media.

A number of new quarterbacks entered the conference, including Heisman Trophy contender Caleb Williams, who followed Lincoln Riley to USC from Oklahoma.

Athlon Sports’ Steven Lassan recently tanked every quarterback on FBS. The Colorado state rep, along with Brendon Lewis, ranks each of his 12 Pac-12 signalers below.

Things could change dramatically if JT Schrout wins the buff job.

But Lewis being so far down the list (he has a total of 131 QBs) doesn’t bode well for him.

The former Arizona Wildcats quarterback is now Cal.

58: Emory Jones, Arizona

Another transfer QB for the Pac-12, Emory Jones, got away with his starting job at ASU.

57 : Michael Pennix Jr., Washington

Another transfer QB. Michael Pennix Jr. moves from Indiana to Washington and becomes Karen DeBoer’s first quarterback on the Huskies.

56: Chance Nolan, Oregon

In this middle part of the rankings, the list is lined with Pac-12 QBs, and Chance Nolan could emerge as the best in this tier.

55: Bonix, Oregon

Oregon quarterback Beau Nix, 10, works out with Dax during practice Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Eugene.

Bo Nix, who moved to Oregon from Auburn, is the first QB for new head coach Dan Lanning. There are many questions about Nix, but we’ll find out early on if he’s worth the hype.

40: Jayden de Lola, Arizona

Jayden de Laura transferred from Washington to Arizona in the midst of the fanatical frenzy of the Pac-12 QB movement.

39: Tanner McKee, Stanford

Any other year, Tanner Mackie would be high on this list. But he can blame the transport portal for being so low on the Pac-12.

33: Cameron, Washington

Cameron Ward was electric with Incarnate Word. Again, it’s an incarnate word. But Ward has some serious talent, and if he does as well as he’s advertised, the Cougars will do well in 2022.

16: Dorian Thompson Robinson, UCLA

Dorian Thompson Robinson delighted Bruins fans when he decided to return to UCLA for another year. Sadly, he’s not his best QB in LA anymore.

15: Cameron Rising, Utah

Cameron Rising is number 15 on this list and could end up higher.

3: Caleb Williams, USC

Caleb Williams: Heisman Trophy contender. That’s all that needs to be said.
