Multiple Jobs at Teton Valley Ski Education Foundation –

Teton Valley Ski Education Foundation (TVSEF) is looking for team players with strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, and a passion for snow and youth sports. Head Prep and Comp Coaches, Prep and Comp Assistant Coaches, Development Assistant Coaches, and Recreation Assistant Coaches are available.

head prep and comp coach – This position is responsible for overseeing the Cross Country Preparation and Comp programs (U12-18, 20 children) and the coaching staff for those programs. The focus is cross-country technology and a lifelong love of the sport and fitness for competition. The season is from September to April, a chance to be all year round. development assistant coach – This position will be responsible for the cross-country devo program (ages 7-10). It focuses on outdoor recreation, competition introduction, teamwork, sportsmanship, proper body position, balance, and weight transfer while skiing on all terrains and in a variety of conditions. The skier learns his technique for skating and classics while introducing basic training and conditioning to develop endurance and strength.You can find the full job description here.

recreational assistant coach – This position is responsible for the cross-country wreck program (ages 5-6). The focus is on “having fun on the snow”, learning skiing skills through play, and understanding teamwork and sportsmanship. The skier learns the basics of classical skiing technique and fitness training, and cross-country general appreciation and respect for his ski equipment.You can find the full job description here.

Developing the athlete as a whole, helping athletes achieve their personal goals, and building solid athletes by focusing on fundamental skills, sound decision-making, mental health, and teamwork particular emphasis is placed on Responsibilities include coaching, equipment maintenance, waxing, sponsoring events, contacting parents and athletes, maintaining good partnerships, being an active club ambassador, and daily, seasonal and annual planning. TVSEF is looking for coaches who are good teachers and mentors.

These are seasonal positions. November to March. Positions are tailored to the applicant’s strengths and program needs, as well as the needs of the rest of the coaching staff. Preferred candidates for all positions have experience working with young athletes, higher-level preferred candidates have collegiate/national-level racing experience, interest in supporting him in cross-country racing, and/or must have knowledge of skiing. Compensation starts at $18 per hour for him as an assistant coach and $30 per hour for him as a head coach. A cross-country trail pass is provided. Season pass to Grand Targhee Resort at discounted rate.
