Dr. Dorsey Promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Performance

Baltimore, Maryland (August 11, 2022)–Dr. Treddell Dorsey Dorsey’s promotion comes after serving as Director of Strength and Conditioning at Morgan State University since November 2020.

Prior to joining Morgan State University, Dr. Dorsey was the Chief Strength and Conditioning Coach at Lane College for three years.

Dr. Dorsey has 21 years of experience in the field and has been a Head Strength and Condition Coach for a total of 10 years at Lane College, Georgia Southern University, Cleveland State University, Alabama State University, Delaware State University, and Georgia State University. rice field.

In May 2016, while serving as Director of Strength and Conditioning at Georgia Southern University, Dr. Dorsey was certified by University Strength and Conditioning as a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach (MSCC), the highest honor in his field. it was done. coach association. The State of Alabama (ASU) has made significant achievements in the sports sector by effectively using strength and conditioning to reduce injuries and, consequently, insurance claims. Dr. Dorsey also designed his two strength and conditioning facilities at ASU.

As a member of the Senior Athletic Staff at Delaware State University, Dr. Dorsey helped develop comprehensive life skills training workshops and implemented the university’s voter registration initiative. vote! In addition to having solid experience in a college environment, Dr. Dorsey served as Director of Player Development at Velocity Sports Performance. A sought-after expert in his field, Dr. Dorsey is an accomplished fitness/performance writer and is called upon to speak at various athletic performance events several times a year. He also served as his technical director for the 2004 Nike Grid Iron marketing campaign, working with Michael Vick, Brian Urlacher, LaDainian Tomlinson and Larry Fitzgerald.

A native of Montgomery, Alabama and raised in Decatur, Georgia, Dr. Dorsey received a BA from the University of Rhode Island, an M.A. from Springfield College, and a Ph.D. from Argosy College. Dr. Dorsey and his wife Makasha have two sons from him, Justin and Jaden.
