Tickets for this year’s highly anticipated Siletz Bay Music Festival are on sale now. Lincoln City will host maestro his Yakov (Yaki) Bergman and his over 50 world-class musicians at this year’s festival, which runs September 2-11.
The event kicked off with a Gala Opening Night Recital and Reception on September 2nd, which wowed the audience as the event celebrated 10 years of the festival and acclaimed pianist Mei-Ting Sun. The festival will culminate in a ‘Sound of America’ orchestral concert on September 11th at Bunai Her Bliss Her Camp on beautiful Devil’s Lake. The concert is an eclectic program featuring Native American hip-hop music, classical jazz, and Stephen’s Sondheim homage. Siletz tribe members Fish Martinez and Knu Beacham join the orchestra for the Siletz Bay Music Festival for an unforgettable musical afternoon.
2022 Sylhet Bay Music Festival Schedule
• Gala Opening Night – Mei-Ting Sun Recital: 7:30 p.m., September 2, Lincoln City Cultural Center. Tickets: $40 adults/$15 students. A gala opening night reception and recital will celebrate San He Meitin’s 10th anniversary of performing at the Sylhet Bay Music Festival. The romantic program features music by Schumann and Brahms. Snacks and drinks are included in the ticket price.
• Saturday Soiree: 7:30 p.m., Sept. 3, Lincoln City Cultural Center. Tickets: $25 adults/$10 students. This classical chamber concert, featuring newlyweds Asi Matatias and Tosca Opdam, is back after a long COVID hiatus. Mimi Jung and Michelle Chow will also return. Additionally, SBMF is thrilled that renowned pianist William Wolfram will make his debut at the festival.
• Musical Tapas: 4 p.m., Sept. 4, Lincoln City Cultural Center. Tickets: $65. Tapas are a delicious food that Spain has become famous for. Musical Tapas is a program of delicious music performed by the festival’s chamber musicians. They work with artistic director girlfriend Yaki Bergman to partner on interesting combinations and provide original ideas for the music they want to play. Audiences are delighted with the combination of music and edible treats.
• Sights and sounds: September 5, 7:30 PM, Lincoln City Cultural Center. Tickets: $25 adults/$10 students. Something new for the Siletts Bay Music Festival. In collaboration with the Cultural Center, this classical chamber concert draws inspiration from the music and musicians on stage to create original works by local artists in real time. A selection of Grieg, Chopin and Brahms will delight your eyes and ears at night.
• A musical feast: September 6, 7:30 p.m., at Lincoln City Congregational Church. Free admission. The Siletts Bay Music Festival has a tradition of offering free chamber music concerts in the beautiful Congregational Church. An extraordinary night of music, this concert will see the return of festival favourites, Ken His Peplowski, playing classical his clarinet. The number of seats is limited, so please come early.
• Music on the Bay – Siletz comes to Yaquina: September 7th at 7:30 pm at the Doerfler Family Theater in Newport. Tickets: $25 adults/$10 students. The Dorfler Family Theater at Newport’s Pacific Maritime and Heritage Center provides the perfect setting with the Yaquina Bay and bridge in the background, as well as his perfect 1918 Steinway piano donated by Frank and Michelle Harris Gertner I have it. • Benefit Dinner – “New York New York, Here I Come!”: 6:00 p.m., September 9, Lincoln City Cultural Center. Tickets: $125. The premier Siletts Bay Music Festival fundraising event featured a formal catered dinner and entertainment by ‘Crown Prince of New York Cabaret’ Steve Ross, along with his friends Carla Harris, Kem Peplowski, Lon Spivak, and his SBMF Rhythms. with the help of section.
• Beethoven – Double Bill: September 10th at 7:30 pm at B’nai B’rith Camp in Otis. Tickets: $40 adults/$15 students. The beautiful grounds of B’nai B’rith Camp will set the stage for the first night of orchestral music and his Mei-Ting Sun solo performance in Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto. His 7th Symphony concludes the evening of all Beethoven’s music.
• American sounds: September 11th at 4pm at B’nai B’rith Camp in Otis. Tickets: $40 adults/$15 students.
