Playwright Aaron Posner Joins East Lynn Theater Company Q&A

(Cape May, NJ) — Award Winning Equity Professional East Lynn Theater Company will host a Q&A with playwright Aaron Posner after the show. Who is this time? (and other love conundrums) Posner adapted three captivating stories by Kurt Vonnegut, “Long Walk Forever” and “Who Am I This Time?” And “To my dear wife and her son.” His ELTC production, which opened on July 27, has received a standing ovation for him.

“It’s a theater of hope and love, fit for the times,” said Producing Artistic Director Gail Stahlfus. “Not since we produced Arsenic and old lace Did you hear that much laughter from the audience?” Set in the small town of North Crawford, Connecticut, in 1962, the eight-man cast performs.

Aaron Posner grew up in Eugene, Oregon, attended Northwestern University, and has spent most of his life in professional local theater. He has been artistic director of his two LORT theaters and is currently an associate professor at American University. He has performed in over 150 major regional theaters across the country, including the Arden Theater, Arena Stage, California Shakespeare Theater, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Folger Theatre, Kennedy Center, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Portland Center Stage, Seattle Repertory Theater, and South Coast. Posner has written about 20 plays, all but one of which are adaptations of short stories, novels, novellas, or plays. His work has received over 400 of his productions, including his off Broadway (my name is ashereb When life sucks). Who’s This Time (& Other Love Conundrums) It will be held at The Cape May Presbyterian Church at 500 Hughes Street, where the ELTC resides, every Wednesday through Saturday from 8pm through September 3rd. Tickets are $35. $30 seniors; $20 full-time students and military (active/retired/veterans); 12 and under free.
