Former CEO appointed chairman of GADC board > GSA business

Greenville Area Development Corp. has named Jim Burns as Chairman of its Board of Directors for 2022-2023.

Joining Burns on the board of directors are Beverly Haynes as vice-chair, Justin Bagwell as secretary, and Barry Ledger as treasurer, according to a GADC news release.

Burns is Chief Operating Officer of Hartness Development and former president and CEO of Strategy & Execution Excellence LLC, a consultancy focused on green building development, project management and owner representation, the release said. Barnes has a BA in Political Science and Architecture and an MBA from Clemson University and has served on several community committees. She also previously served as a member of the Greenville County Council.

Haynes is a healthcare consultant and former president and chief nursing officer of Prisma Health’s Peitwood Hospital and Medical Campus. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Education with an emphasis in Nursing Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University.

Mr. Bagwell served as Senior Corporate Counsel to Michelin North America after serving as Vice President and Corporate Counsel for MidCountry Financial Corp., a financial services holding company headquartered in Greenville. Bagwell holds a BA in Political Science from her College of Honors at the University of South Carolina and a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Leasure is a managing partner of GreerWalker CPA’s Greenville office. He has over 30 years of experience in providing tax and business advisory services to clients of all sizes in a wide range of industries and consulting with domestic and foreign companies. He is active in professional organizations such as Urban Land His Institute, CFMA South Carolina, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and its South Carolina chapter. As a volunteer, he serves on the boards of the Peace Center, the United Way of Greenville County, and the Upstate Alliance.

Erickson is a retired executive with over 35 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry, most recently serving as General Manager and Site Director for Lockheed Martin’s 500-person site in Greenville.

Moon is the CEO of Moon & Associates, Inc. and is an MAI-designated Certified Appraiser and Member of Appraisal Institutes. He graduated from South Carolina Upstate University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics.

Piszczor was a former director of CME Group, Inc., specializing in product research and product development.
