Big Bluegrass Benefit Concert at Sugar Pine Point State Park

The Sierra State Park Foundation will host a bluegrass concert at Sugar Pine Point State Park on Friday, August 5 at 5:00 pm, with proceeds going to support Tahoe State Park.

General admission tickets are $35 and youth tickets are $10. Parking is $10 and is not included with your ticket purchase.

The line-up for the evening includes Truckee School of Music, Loretta Lynch, Broken Compass Bluegrass and Coburn Station.

Additionally, event food vendors include Big Blue Q and Hand Dipped Ice Cream, beer is sponsored by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, and wine is provided by Highway 7.

Event doors open at 4pm with music playing until dark. Ticket sales end Thursday night.

Live Music Series at The Village at Palisades

Join Palisades Tahoe for free live music every Friday from 5-7pm this summer. in the village.

The series will feature the Mighty Mike Shermer duo at the Event Plaza on Friday, August 6, with two more shows scheduled for the rest of the summer.

2nd Annual Mountain Lotus Bazaar

Enjoy a fun-filled day at Truckee’s Mountain Lotus Summer Bazaar at 10124 E Street on Saturday, August 6 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Local wellness vendors and arts and crafts vendors from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. From 4:00 p.m. to her 6:00 p.m., special guest speaker Adam Kimble will speak on her performance at Peak.

Followed by live music by indie folk band Go By Ocean. Meals are available from Mountain Lotus Provisions.

Saturday Makers Market at Kings Beach

Tahoe Backyard will be hosting a Saturday Maker’s Market on Saturday, August 6th from 3-8pm, an afternoon of interaction with local vendors, makers, artists and more.

Food trucks and entertainment are available, as well as Bear Belly Brewing Co. drinks. With garden games and family fun, this is an event you don’t want to miss.

Youth Backcountry Camp Naturalist

The Tahoe Rim Trail is hosting another backcountry camping trip for youth ages 12-14 Wednesday through Sunday, August 10-13.

This trip allows young people to learn new backcountry skills and make new friends while backpacking anywhere from 3 to 6 miles a day.

Fees are on a sliding scale and offer multiple different payment options, along with scholarship options.

Fees include meals, camping gear, all required permits, and transportation to and from the trailhead. Participants only need to bring shoes, clothing, and excitement to get outside.

Yoga Sound Healing Wellness Kids Camp

Children looking for some hearty fun can join the Yoga Sound Healing Wellness Kids Camp at the GyoHarmony Sound and Healing Arts Center.

On Monday, August 8, from 9am to 1pm, children can participate in mindful activities and mediation as they explore around Donner Lake.

Following the hike, refreshments and lunch will be provided, leading to a music session and sound bath.

Truckee Certified Farmers Market

The Truckee Authorized Farmers Market will be held at Truckee River Regional Park on Tuesday, August 9, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The marketplace has multiple vendors and is free to the public.

Bocce Ball Night at Northstar

Northstar hosts a bocce ball night. It is open for League participants and guests to enjoy free play on his artist’s set acoustic on Mondays through September 5th at 5pm.

In addition, the Overlook Bar will also open, allowing guests to bring in their own food to enjoy an evening at the resort.

Sign-ups for the league are now closed, but games will continue to be hosted throughout the night, and the acoustic set will continue to play.

Blues Days at Palisades Tahoe

The Village at Palisades Tahoe is back with Bluesdays, a free summer concert series featuring top blues musicians on Tuesdays from 6-8:30pm through August 30th.

Held at the Event Plaza, the event is packed with artists featuring JC Smith on Tuesday, August 9th.

Additionally, an outdoor blues bar will open with beer, wine and spirits. Take-away food is available for purchase at village restaurants.

The number of seats is limited, so please bring your own chair if you have one.
