Los Angeles – (business wire)– Following the highly successful 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, Entertainment Earth today announced a strategic investment in the company by Sam Zell’s private investment firms, IVEST Consumer Partners (IVEST) and Equity Group Investments (EGI). Announced. IVEST and EGI have partnered with Entertainment Earth’s founding and senior management team, who will continue to lead the business and retain significant ownership of the company. This partnership will provide additional capital for the growth and strategic support of the exponentially growing organization. George Jones, co-founder and managing partner of his IVEST, former president of Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will serve as chairman of the board. Other board members include Entertainment Earth’s chief executive officer, Aaron Labowitz, his president, Jason Labowitz, and chief technology officer, Aaron Lipman.
