6th Coastal LGBT History Project Show at Franklin Gallery
Rochester — The Seacoast LGBT History Project is preparing for its sixth annual show at River Stones Custom Framing and The Franklin Gallery in August this year.
What are the social outlets and support available to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals on the New Hampshire coast for decades? What was the first social group? Which bars were available and where were they? Which groups are currently available? Find it at the RiverStones Custom Framing “Standing Together: Seacoast LGBT SocialandSupport Groups” exhibition.
Tom Kaufhold, founder of the Seacoast LGBT History project, said: “We will reach a larger audience and will be able to include items that have never been exhibited in Rochester.”
Kris Ebbeson, owner of RiverStones Custom Framing and Franklin Gallery, said: “Tom is very nice to work with and he is always excited to be able to provide a gallery space to showcase the deliverables of this very important project.
The opening reception for this exhibition will take place on Thursday, August 4th, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Franklin Gallery at River Stones Custom Framing on 33 North Main Street in Rochester. The general public can also participate. Light meals are available.
The exhibition will be held from Wednesday, August 3rd to Wednesday, August 31st, and can be viewed free of charge. The gallery is open Wednesday to Friday from 11am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Rochester’s Pride Day, when the gallery is open on Saturday, August 27, will be extended from 10 am to 4 pm.
