Exclusive: Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, said higher education was “a scam” and used his new book to “absolutely” skip four-year colleges for young Americans. I’m urging you to do it.

Kirk states in his new book, The College Scam, that the university is full of “far-left professors” who use classrooms to “force students to anti-American and progressive ideology.” I am.

“The premise of this book is that regardless of your life course, if you are a parent, grandparent, or student, there must be an agreed consensus that higher education is a scam.” Kirk told Fox on Monday’s news.

When Kirk was asked to tell young Americans not to get a college degree, he said: “Yes, absolutely.”

“Anything but college,” Kirk told Fox News, encouraging young Americans to become entrepreneurs and “start a business.”

“Maybe go to a community college or tech school. Take a gap year. Find a business owner with a profession that you might be interested in, seek a job, and seek an unpaid internship.” Kirk suggested. ..

“As you know, what I lack when talking to my employer is hunger and desire,” Kirk said. “What is that piece of paper really going to do for you?”

“Frankly, if you want to be a doctor, lawyer, accountant, engineer, the majority of college attendees, maybe you should go to college, but choose the right one. Please, “Kirk continued. “But the majority of kids shouldn’t have the majority of college kids out there.”

When asked how those young people could secure a job without a college degree, Kirk said it was an “obsolete resume review process.”

“The worst thing you can do is go borrow money in advance when you really don’t know what kind of skill you want to have,” Kirk said. “And second, the vast majority of Fortune 11 companies say that college degrees make little sense because of the very poor graduation children, vocabulary, writing, and work ethic. . “

“So tell the kids if they think they need a piece of paper and all the debt that comes with it to get a job, yes,” Kirk continued. “But I believe there is a major sea change and that is part of what this book is trying to achieve.”

Kirk admitted that there is a “gatekeeping process for people who need a piece of paper to get through the door.”

“I’m trying to change that and get people to rethink it, and research also shows that the degree they get doesn’t even match the work they end up with,” Kirk said. Said.

Kirk said, “A pretty unique” way of “presenting the facts as a 10-count indictment, as if I were the university in front of you, the prosecutor trying to indict the jury.” Said he wrote the book.

“I’ll leave that to the reader at the end,” Kirk explained. “As prosecutors, jury men and women, give me the opportunity to file a proceeding. I think we have a pretty compelling way to do that.”

In the book, Kirk charged the college industry with “fraud,” stating that “universities are no longer educated.”

“Students literally go through the college system and appear without learning anything,” Kirk wrote in his book, and “university degrees don’t have the magical ability to turn you into a high achievement. “.

Kirk also wrote, “Most college graduates don’t have to go to college to succeed.”

“When you break out of the norm, when you give up everyone else’s expectations of your life, when you go out alone and take full advantage of all the opportunities America offers-the sky is the limit.” Kirk writes.

Kirk is the founder and president of TurningPoint USA, a national student movement dedicated to identifying, organizing and empowering young people to promote the principles of the free market and small government.

Kirk used TPUSA to try to reform university campuses across the country.

But his new book is a “mixed-both” reform, he says, an effort to change the way young people think about their careers after graduating from high school.

“I’m not going to stop the fight to reform these campuses. I know that a major closure of college campuses will not happen soon, desperately as needed.” Mr. Kirk said. “But the best way to change something is to start challenging consumers with it. That is, I don’t need this. It’s not.”
