crowd appeal

Those who attended the show enjoyed an evening of great entertainment. The 90 minute show was a singing extravaganza with people singing and cheering together.

Band members are great musicians. This includes Joe Pettengill (bass and vocals), Kevin Herrera (guitar and vocals), Adam Tesse (sax), Art Mambuka (drums) and Paul Kochanski (keyboards and vocals). The sounds produced by this group are true to the era in which the music was born. It was clear that many in the audience were reliving the joy of singing that had a meaning associated with something in their lives.

Constantin Maroulis is the front man and he does a great job making sure the audience is fully part of the show. Constantine was a favorite when he was an American Idol finalist. One of his reasons for that was his ability to connect with his audience. He continues that practice at live shows through his connections with bands and audiences. Constantine further strengthens that connection when he steps off the stage and walks through the audience singing. He is a top-notch entertainer and strives to ensure that the audience has a great time at the show. From what I’ve seen, they did.

end of show

The 90 minutes that night flew by. Union said she was going to finish the concert around 9:00, but she made it in time. However, some of us stayed for a few minutes to thank the band for a great night, and many stayed to see Constantine.

Leaving the Rabkin Park area, I found myself humming the song I heard that night. I definitely had a great time that night. The weather was supportive as it was days before a big heat wave. Yes, it was a great way to spend summer evenings outdoors.
