If you haven’t tried Best Ball yet, now is the time to dive in! Great for practice drafting in late August/early September.
The great thing about Best Ball is that there is no mid-season administration. Just set it and forget it. Don’t worry about making the best start/seat decisions. The software automatically sets the highest-scoring line-up for the week.
At the end of the season, the team with the most points wins the pot. No direct confrontation. You simply aim to score the most points during the season.
Don’t worry. This format does not accidentally leave a 3-touchdown game on the bench. A bench considering a start in a conventional league, if he can get a player to spend his week, it matters.
So, as you can imagine, there are some players who are worth more in the best ball than in the regular season league.
Here are the five wide receivers shooting in the best ball leagues.
Gabriel Davis, Buffalo Bills
Remember the Chiefs and Bills postseason shootout? Davis would have scored 52 PPR points in that game alone. Josh Allen has so many weapons. Who will he choose?Stephen Diggs will remain his WR1, Jameson Crowder and Isaiah his Mackenzie will hit the target, but Davis could end as a top 5 WR in the league any week is enough.
Davis is the best cobblestone. He will probably offer a solid floor as a WR2 in 2021 on an offense where he threw for the 8th most yards. Davis is currently the 44th overall pick.
Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings
A touchdown regression has to come, right? no. We said it last year, but what do you think?Thielen said he had 10 TDs in just 13 games in 2021. Justin Jefferson played 17 games in which he recorded 10 TDs. Sure, Jefferson gets more targets, but Shilen remains a threat in the Red Zone, which means he can give you a big week.
If you’re not drafting Thielen because of his age (turning 32 in late August), injury, or worrying about losing touchdowns, I can understand that, but here’s the perfect best ball. It’s a spot. At best, he’ll give you a solid floor, at worst, he’ll have one two-touchdown game.
Let’s not forget that Thielen and Jefferson all thrived on execution-driven teams. For new head coach Kevin O’Connell, the OC who helped oversee the Cooper Cup’s breakout season with the Rams, this is worth the bet.

Thielen is coming off the board with pick 68.
Marquez Valdes Scantling, Kansas City Chiefs
With Tyreek Hill now in Miami, it remains to be seen who will emerge as Mahomes’ favorite wide receiver, but with 93 ADP, MVS is worth it. At best, he can be his WR1 and provide a solid floor.
Julio Jones of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
If you’ve burned Jones before, it’s time to shake it off. Jones is the perfect late best ball he’s a pick. why? Because if he starts the game and leaves early, he can’t hurt you. I totally understand that you don’t want to take the risk of being re-drafted. , which is very high in any given week.
If healthy, Jones has proven to be one of the best receivers in the league. In his 11 seasons in the NFL, Jones tallied over 1,198 yards in seven of them. He’s been hampered by injuries the past two years, but in his six healthy games played last year, Jones ranked in the top 10 for his yards-per-route. Last year was a tough year overall as the Falcons morphed into a run-fast team. Not so in Tampa Bay.
Jones, a seven-time Pro Bowler, will join an offense with 5,229 passing yards and 43 passing touchdowns in 2021, leading the league with 307.6 passing yards per game.
Chris Godwin could be slow to return to full strength, the Bucks lost Rob Gronkowski, and Jones should be able to at least approach Antonio Brown’s numbers in 2021..Brady to Jones is something that can get you excited in this format.
Jones is currently off the board with pick 134.
Paris Campbell, Indianapolis Colts
Paris Campbell’s knock is never a talent and never seems to stay healthy. Early reports from the camp indicated that Ryan and Campbell soon discovered the chemical.
But let’s put those early reports aside.
Here’s what we know: Ryan has a 65.5% career completion rate and has thrown for 4,000+ yards in 10 of his 14 seasons in the league. Despite his fantasy down his season in 2021, Ryan earned his second best deep passer his rating in the league, behind Josh Allen.
Here’s what else we know: Campbell was drafted in the second round and has the speed to top the defense. If he can stay healthy, he could be a home run threat.
Campbell is off the board with pick 172.
